On this day in History

1819 - The first Odd Fellows lodge in the U.S. was established. In Seattle, the Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows Temple stood at 915 East Pine Street. The building dates from 1908 and was designed by architect Carl Alfred Breitung. At this time, it also housed a dancing academy and a funeral parlor.
